Oxford County Library Tillsonburg Branch Mural Project

The Oxford County Library posted a Call to Artists to design and paint a mural of 12 ft wide x 9 ft high for the Children’s Area at the Tillsonburg Branch in Tillsonburg, Ontario.

This artwork was created and painted by 17 Designs artist Stella Jurgen featuring a scene where a family of turtles are enjoying reading books together.

Featured in the mural are Tillsonburg historical landmarks such as the Post Office Clock Tower, Annandale Museum, the original Town Hall, the Station Arts Centre and the Train Bridge.

Composition elements: Farms and Land, Rainbows, Sunflowers, Birds, Butterflies and Fish in Lake Lisgar. The style shows that reading brings children to another dimension. It’s fun to read.
