The Oxford County Library posted a Call to Artists to design and paint a mural of 20 ft wide x 5 ft high for the Children’s Area at the Otterville Branch Library in Otterville, Ontario. Our submission was selected and painted by 17 Designs Artist Stella Jurgen featuring a scene of Otters reading books all around Otterville. Also featured in the mural are Otterville landmarks such as the African Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, the Walking Bridge, the Otterville Waterfall, Centennial Cannon, Woodlawn House, the Otterville Train Station Museum, The Mill and, of course, the Otterville Library.
Composition elements: Town Directional Sign, House by the Creek with the Quilt Sign, Classic Car Show, Wing Ding Event, Rubber Ducks, Firemen, Postman, a local Farm, Ollie the Library Mascott, a Beaver and a Blue Heron.
